Legal & compliance

Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how FXLeagues uses cookies and similar technologies on fxl.one, and how you can manage them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy. It reflects UK rules on cookies (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, overseen by the ICO); please have it reviewed by qualified legal counsel before launch. Last updated: [date].

Risk warning

Trading financial markets involves risk. Participation in FXLeagues competitions does not guarantee profits or prizes. Paid competitions involve entry fees and users should only participate with funds they can afford to lose. Please read the full competition rules, prize terms, and risk disclosure before entering any league.

1. What are cookies?

  • Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website.
  • "First-party" cookies are set by us; "third-party" cookies are set by other services we use.
  • "Session" cookies last only until you close your browser; "persistent" cookies remain for a set period.
  • We also use similar technologies such as local storage and pixels, which we refer to together as "cookies" in this policy.

2. The categories of cookies we use

  • Strictly necessary — required for the site and account portal to work, including login, security and load balancing. These cannot be switched off in our systems.
  • Functional — remember your preferences and choices to improve your experience.
  • Analytics & performance — help us understand how the site is used and how it performs, so we can improve it.
  • Marketing — used to measure and improve advertising. We only set these where you have given consent.

3. Analytics we use

We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to measure traffic and page performance. These are privacy-friendly and are designed not to use cookies to track you across websites; they collect aggregated, largely anonymous usage and performance data.

If we introduce additional analytics or advertising tools (for example Google Analytics or advertising pixels), we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

4. Third-party cookies

  • Our content management system (Sanity) sets cookies when signing in to the editing studio at /studio — these affect editors, not general visitors.
  • Our payment provider may set cookies during checkout to process payments securely and prevent fraud.
  • Embedded or linked third-party content may set its own cookies, governed by that provider's policies.

5. Managing your cookies

  • Most browsers let you view, manage, block and delete cookies through their settings.
  • You can usually set your browser to refuse non-essential cookies, but some parts of the site may not work properly as a result.
  • Where we use non-essential cookies that require consent, you can manage your choices through the on-site cookie controls.

Helpful guidance is available at aboutcookies.org and allaboutcookies.org.

6. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting. As there is no consistent industry standard for how to respond to it, we do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals, but we keep tracking to a minimum.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page.
